My Story

Hi, I'm Catie, owner of Temecula Playschool and Multisensory Tutoring. I have been homeschooling my children in Temecula Valley since 2014. Prior to homeschooling, I ran a family childcare for 8+ years in Oceanside, CA. I have been working with children professionally since 2003 and began 1-1 tutoring when COVID hit in 2020.

I am a certified tutor for the Barton Reading and Spelling Program, a registered instructor for Institute for Excellence in Writing and I have been trained to teach Touch-Math, Zoo-Phonics, BrainPOP, and Childrens Yoga. I currently homeschool my son (4th) and daughter (10th) through Springs Charter. My eldest daughter is attending CSUSM College.

For me, tutoring is about personalizing each session to meet and challenge my students' cognitive needs. However, I believe it is just as important to nurture the child's social, emotional and physical development as well, which is why I make sure to offer plenty of opportunities for social interactions within my tutoring community.

Homeschool tutoring is completely individualized and tailored to meet the unique needs of your student. This class includes differentiated private instruction in math and ELA as well as a daily subject taught family style for multi-age groups (science, history, elective) and access to our drop-off social club.

First off, let me just say Ms.Catie is amazing. She is patient, kind, & has such a way with children. My daughters thrive when they are learning with her.
